Two new build projects in denmark

December 2015
After several successful retrofit projects, we are excited to start installing the first scrubbers on two new builds for Scandlines before the end of this year. A total of eight scrubbers will be installed on the two ships, one scrubber for each engine. It will take approximately two weeks to install and test. In the new year these Scandlines vessels will sail on the Rostock-Gedser route from Germany to Denmark.

New aftersales service

November 2015
With 7 vessels equipped with a AEC Maritime scrubber by the end of the year, the time has come to appoint a dedicated after sales person. Starting this month Bas Alderd will join the AEC Maritime team. By having a service engineer inhouse who has extensive knowledge of our scrubbers and components, we can react quickly to our clients’ (ad hoc) questions and requests.

Eight approved AEC Maritime scrubbers in operation

May 2015
Five months after the IMO sulphur regulation was enforced, a total of eight ships are already outfitted with a SOx scrubber by AEC Maritime, which reduces emissions by more than 99%. Scandlines who made a repeat purchase and other companies have ordered additional scrubber installations. This makes it a grand total of at least 10 ships fitted by AEC Maritime this summer.

Scandlines orders three extra scrubbers

April 2015
A closed loop scrubbing system by AEC Maritime which has been certified by Lloyd’s Register has been fully operational on Scandlines' Schleswig-Holstein. “After testing the AEC closed loop scrubber system on our vessel we were so convinced that we ordered scrubbing systems on three more vessels” says Fini Alsted Hansen, Technical Superintendent Fleet Management at Scandlines. AEC is to install scrubbing systems on the Prinsesse Benedikte, the Prins Richard and the Deutschland. Each vessel will be outfitted with a similar closed loop system. These vessels operate in the waters between Germany and Denmark.
